SUPPORT US! |   DIRECT DONATION

Direct donation is run by the PFA and raises money for Westlake Elementary school.  During the 2010-2011 academic year, families donated $225 per year/per student.  Direct Donation is a hugely successful program that has historically raised between 95 - 100% of our goal each year.

NEW! Making your suggested $225 Direct Donation has never been easier.  JustGive is a non-profit organization that safely and securely manages credit card donations for our school.  Simply search “Westlake PFA” on their site or click the link/button below for our donation page.  One time and recurring monthly donations are accepted.  A recurring transaction of $25 from September – May will fulfill your donation of $225.  Please note: JustGive does NOT offer an end date for recurring monthly transactions.  It is your responsibility to end the transaction by cancelling with JustGive directly.

How and when do I make my contribution? Direct donation will have a table set up at Wizard Orientation & Welcome on August 23rd, also the first week of school and at Back to School Night. Payments are always accepted in the office or online through JustGive at http://www.justgive.org/nonprofits/donate.jsp?ein=13-4300298. Please be sure to include your name and student name on all checks or with payments.

Don’t my tax dollars cover my child’s education?
Federal & state funding continues to be cut from education.  Westlake Elementary does not qualify for Title One federal funding because of our socio-economic make up.  As parents, we worry about the quality of our children’s education.  Fortunately, Direct Donation gives us the opportunity to counteract the impact of budget cuts.

What happens if we don’t meet our Direct Donation goal?
If we do not reach our goal, eventually programs and specialists will be cut.

Do you publicize a list of families who contribute?

No. We will not disclose any amount of contribution or participation.

Does Westlake Elementary participate in Fund Raising too?

Yes.  We do generate funds from local businesses in exchange for our patronage.  For an overview of these programs please see the Support Us! section of the website.

Please Note: Westlake Elementary does NOT ask our students, parents and teachers to sell products for the school’s profit.
